In my book, Unconventional Business, I wrote about Developing a Ministry Plan for Your Business. There are five important issues to be addressed in your plan, the fourth is ministering to customers, suppliers, and competitors.
Many people are good at ministering to their employees, and some are good at focusing on customers. But few spend time caring for suppliers or competitors.
An effective ministry plan gives thought to each of these people groups as potential neighbors that we are called to love.
Romans 15:2 teaches, “Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up.”
Loving neighbors can be expressed by paying vendors early, collaborating with a competitor on a large project, or by serving customers as you would Jesus. Prayerfully consider what works for you.
