California's Governor Newsom recently signed a bill that has the potential of forcing business owners, against their will, to increase their employee wages from $15 to $22 per hour!
In addition, this bill will give the commission the right to speak into employee hours and working conditions, without shouldering any of the financial risk that will fall on business owners.
In Luke 14:28, Jesus asked, "Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won't you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?"
Business owners understand that this legislation will result in higher prices to customers, layoffs, and even closing businesses. Our legislators need to know that we expect them to count the cost before passing legislation that impacts lives.
