Joe is a young man who was looking for a career. I encouraged him to apply at a company I respect, but his online applications went unanswered.

Since I believe in Joe’s skills, I asked an owner of this company how best to advise Joe. He generously offered, “Send me his resume.”

Joe’s experience was lacking, but because the owner forwarded Joe’s resume, Joe landed the job. Joe has since exceeded the company’s expectations.

In Acts 9:26 we read, “When (Saul) came to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he really was a disciple. But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles.”

Barnabas vouched for Saul.

If you’re helping someone find a job, remember, connections are critical.
