After Jesus’ resurrection, Jesus’ disciples were confused by His death. Their hope for Jesus was that he would redeem Israel at that time. Although these disciples had spent time with Jesus for up to three years and were likely well trained in Scripture, they were confused by the death of Jesus.
Jesus, however, joined them on the road and began clarifying Scripture and God’s vision for the future. That evening Jesus gave the disciples clarity, hope and a new focus for their life.
In Luke 24:45, Luke wrote about Jesus and His disciples, “Then He opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.”
In business, sometimes clarifying your vision for your team is an ongoing and crucial exercise necessary for their full engagement in your mission.
