According to a recent Christian Post article, one of Chick-fil-a’s independent franchise owners was arrested for allegedly having sex with a 15-year-old girl. Chick-fil-a has assured the public that this franchise owner will no longer be present in the restaurant.
Chick-fil-a has one of the most rigorous hiring processes and diligence in selecting great people. But regardless of how well you vet people, discovering what’s in people’s heart that may surface later is impossible.
In Psalm 141:4, the Psalmist prayed, “Do not let my heart be drawn to what is evil so that I take part in wicked deeds along with those who are evildoers.”
Evil is just one small step away for each of us. Let’s embrace the Psalmist’s example and pray for God’s constant protection against evil.
