Cabrini is a true movie of an Italian nun who came to America to help orphans and the sick. It’s an inspiring story of what Mother Cabrini accomplished, including establishing 67 institutions globally.
My concern with the movie, however, is what was missing. There was no clear answer as to why Mother Cabrini did what she did.
In the movie, Mother Cabrini wasn’t shown praying for others, pointing people to Jesus, or giving glory to God.
Colossians 3:17 teaches, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Many think that good things will somehow give glory to God. But at some point, people need to know why you do what you do.
