One of Doug’s employees was a single mother who was struggling financially. One day, Doug overheard this single mother crying as she shared with another employee about how her refrigerator had recently stopped working.
The other employee prayed for her, but Doug took a different approach. Doug quietly bought her a new refrigerator and then he and another employee hauled off the existing refrigerator and installed the new one.
James 2:15 says, “If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?”
Prayer is important, but when God gives us the ability to solve an employee’s problem, that’s even better.
