In my previous consulting practice, I learned the importance of diligently prospecting for clients year-round. In the early years, I would be busy and cash flow would be strong. Then my project would end, and the cashflow stopped.
It took me some time to realize that my problem could be resolved with a little diligence. I began setting aside time for prospecting for new clients year-round, even when my existing projects kept me extremely busy.
Proverbs 6:6 teaches, “Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.”
There is a time to harvest, but it doesn’t come without working diligently on sowing seeds for the future.
The Proverbs Challenge:
There are 31 chapters of Proverbs and 31 days in the month of May. Many business leaders have developed a habit of reading Proverbs and have discovered great value to their business life.
This month, I would like to challenge and assist you in making a habit of reading one chapter of Proverbs each day. I have selected a verse from Proverbs each day of this month. In addition to reading this daily devotional, I encourage you to also read or listen to the entire chapter for that day. We will provide a link for you to go to that chapter each day. Enjoy growing in wisdom!
