In this series, we’re talking about the rising incidence of manager burnout. The Harvard Business Review discovered six key reasons behind this growing level of burnout.

The first cited reason is having an unsustainable workload. The pandemic negatively impacted staffing levels, increasing work for those remaining in their jobs.

This lack of staff has increased manager responsibilities. Burnout is inevitable for those managers who work night and day to keep up.

Psalm 127:2 says, “In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat— for he grants sleep to those he loves.”

God desires your team members to have reasonable work hours. If you have employees facing burn out, you may need to identify creative solutions like hiring freelancers, or eliminating projects that aren’t mission critical.
