According to the Wall Street Journal, Pete Stavros, an executive with KKR & Co., has spent much of his career promoting the idea of awarding stock to factory workers and other hourly employees. He believes stock ownership builds wealth for all employees and strengthens the culture.
Stavros implemented his concept with a KKR company, called Gardner Denver. In a few short years the average worker has now accrued $35,000 in wealth from their stock, while the growth and profitability of the firm has soared.
1 Timothy 5:18 says, “For Scripture says, ‘Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain,’ and ‘The worker deserves his wages.’”
Corporate wealth is not built on just the work of top executives. The entire team deserves to share in the increased prosperity.
