Steve and I were recently discussing the level of anger that seems to be growing in our country. He made a great analogy.

If the boiling point is 212 degrees, he believes many people are currently walking around at about 190 degrees. If a negative event happens, suddenly that person may boil over. Their anger can cause a chain reaction which can negatively impact the next person. Soon, dozens of people are boiling over with anger.

We may not be able to control the level of anger in the person next to us, but we can control ours.

Proverbs 15:18 teaches, “A hot-tempered person stirs up conflict, but the one who is patient calms a quarrel.”

In today’s heated environment, your workplace is safer if you’re patient and self-controlled.
