As we celebrate Memorial Day, I’m reminded of the end of the movie, Saving Private Ryan. Private Ryan is in a cemetery reflecting on the men who died in World War II due to their mission of retrieving him from combat.
Private Ryan wrestles with how well he lived out his life after the war. He struggled with knowing if he lived a life worthy of these men’s sacrificed lives.
As followers of Jesus, we may relate. Jesus was beaten, crucified, and died for us to have a chance at eternal life.
Philippians 1:27 teaches, “Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.”
As we lead others at work, we can love others in a way that leaves a legacy. Let’s not squander our opportunities.
