When I was a child, September was a big month. In our immediate family there were three of us with September birthdays.
A birthday is one of the few times in the year to help someone feel special. Holidays are celebrated by all, but a birthday is an opportunity to be personally recognized.
Many insurance practices have been built on remembering a customer or prospect’s birthday. Employers can also show their appreciation by acknowledging their staff’s birthdays.
Jesus told of the Good Shepherd in John 10. He said, “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me.”
If God has placed customers or employees in your care, you are their shepherd. Recognizing their birthdays is one way you can show them your appreciation.
