Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
Integrity Moments is a 60 second workday devotional that provides business leaders with helpful insight into what the Bible says about our work and how we can fully integrate our faith into our vocational calling.

Did you know that until 1752 our forefathers celebrated New Year’s Day on March 25th? Our culture tries to undermine Christianity, but today is an example of the far-reaching impact Christians have had, even on our calendar.

In 1582, Pope Gregory XIII decided to standardize the calendar by creating the Gregorian calendar. He began by declaring January 1st as New Year’s Day, because it was the day that the circumcision of Jesus was traditionally celebrated.

Britain and America finally accepted the Gregorian calendar in 1752.

1 Peter 4:16 teaches, “If you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.”

When people in the workplace mock your faith, remind them of the holidays from work they receive, due to our faith.
