Hunting was not my thing, but as a teenager some friends invited me to go deer hunting. Upon arrival they pointed me towards a tree and told me to climb the tree and wait for a deer.
I tried to climb the tree with my rifle, but, out of frustration and laziness, I finally left my gun at the base of the tree and climbed up the tree to rest.
Soon my friends were shouting that a deer was headed my way, but my rifle was on the ground! My friends were not impressed, especially when we went home empty-handed.
Proverbs 12:27 teaches, “The lazy do not roast any game, but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.”
Laziness in any type of activity doesn’t end well.
