Recently, I met with two friends separately who owned significant businesses, both forced into bankruptcy. In addition, both friends have multiple pending lawsuits.
Bankruptcy can leave a person feeling persecuted, lonely, and full of shame. It can be easy to wonder where God may be.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego bravely refused to worship Nebuchadnezzar’s idol and were thrown into a blazing furnace.
In Daniel 3:25, Nebuchadnezzar says in astonishment, “But I see four men unbound, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.”
In the most unlikely circumstances, God was with these three brave men. If you’re walking through a fiery trial, remember you serve the same God as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
