Years ago, a salesperson knew there was one important feature that I needed in his company’s software before I was willing to commit to buy. So, he convinced me that his company had just added this important feature that very month.
After signing the agreement, I discovered that he lied. There was no plan to ever roll out that feature.
I felt betrayed and deceived by this salesperson. Unfortunately for the business he represented, it gave me sour feelings for the whole company.
In Psalm 101:7, King David said, “No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence.”
Your company’s reputation can be destroyed by one deceiver. If you have a deceiver in your company, they need to go.
