Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
In the book of Revelation, Jesus gave performance reviews to seven churches. As I studied the seven letters, I believe I’ve discovered a roadmap for performance reviews.
In this series, we’ll cover four sections Jesus used; Strengths, Areas for Improvement, Corrections Needed, and finally words of Hope and Encouragement.
Let’s begin with Strengths. Five of the seven letters begin with, “I know your works…” Jesus, then, proceeds to congratulate each church for their beliefs or actions that pleased Him.
In Revelation 2:3, Jesus said to the church in Ephesus, “I know that you have persevered and endured hardships for the sake of my name, and you have not grown weary.”
Starting a performance review with your employee’s strengths, encourages them and makes them willing to listen further.
