Matt discovered an alternative way to solving a problem frequently encountered by contractors in his field. As Matt explained the process and technique to others, a listener interjected, “You can’t do it that way!”
In Matt’s eyes, he had discovered a better way of doing things. In the bystander’s eyes, Matt was breaking the rules.
In Acts 5:25, Peter and the apostles had been chastised by the religious leaders for teaching a new religion. “Then someone came and said, ‘Look! The men you put in jail are standing in the temple courts teaching the people.”
Peter and the others had discovered that Jesus was the answer, even if it meant breaking the rules.
If God leads you to a new and better way of doing business, don’t be afraid to break some “old” rules.
