Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
One of the kindest comments a colleague once shared with me is that I am open about my failures.
He was troubled by Christians who proclaim to be challenge-free, even though their struggles are just as evident as anyone else’s.
I jokingly responded that my shortcomings are so visible, it would be a sin to try to hide them! But he had a point.
The apostle Paul desired to be free of his “thorn.” But when God proclaimed that his power was made perfect in Paul’s weakness, Paul declared, “Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
People probably already know your weaknesses. Instead of trying to hide them, allow God’s power to work through them.
