As a ministry focused on business leaders, I may at times send the wrong message. To be clear, God values all work, paid and unpaid.
Americamagazine.org posted an insightful article by Kate Ward titled, “Catholic Social Teaching Says All Work is Good for Us – Paid and Unpaid.” The author contends that Catholic Social Teaching proclaims that “work is any activity through which humans transform the world using our uniquely human abilities to create, reason and learn.”
This includes not only paid work, but also unpaid activities like parenting, cooking, sports, or creating art.
1 Corinthians 10:31 teaches, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
Your work matters to God, including homemaking and what many refer to as leisure.
