During the recent government shutdown, many businesses sacrificially stepped-up to help others in need. Lilly’s Cantina in Kansas City was one such generous small business.
Posted on their social media, Lilly’s wrote, “We may be a little hole-in-the-wall spot on the Westside, but we’ve always believed that no child should ever go hungry. Starting November 1st, kids can eat for free here at Lilly’s. It’s a scary time, but I know God didn’t bring us this far to stop helping now.”
Lilly’s reminds me of Macedonia’s sacrificial generosity in 2 Corinthians 8:2 when Paul wrote, “In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity.”
Lilly’s diluted profit to give sacrificially. May Lilly be an inspiration to you as well.
