An online scammer used the email address of one of Phil’s customers to order $325,000 of computer equipment. Once the computers had been shipped, Phil discovered that the transaction was a scam.
Against the advice of others, Phil chose to pay his vendor rather than file bankruptcy. This left his small business with a huge financial hole.
Around Christmas time the Lord moved Phil to forgive the scammer. Phil sent his offender an email, calling out the offender’s sin but also encouraging him to seek God’s forgiveness. No response was received.
In Mark 3:28, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter.”
The worst of us, and our sins, can be forgiven if we turn to Jesus and repent.
