When I was a young professional, I was blessed to work for companies that valued training. Whether I worked for a CPA firm or a large bank, I was allowed to enroll for all sorts of training in business practices, and even graduate school of banking.
The learning was valuable, but it also included, at times, business fads that were fruitless and sometimes even ran counter to the wisdom of God.
Hosea 14:9 teaches, “Who is wise? Let them realize these things. Who is discerning? Let them understand. The ways of the Lord are right; the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.”
Practical training in your profession can be valuable, but being trained in the ways of the Lord will enhance your business career far greater.
