Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
Integrity Moments is a 60 second workday devotional that provides business leaders with helpful insight into what the Bible says about our work and how we can fully integrate our faith into our vocational calling.

In this series, we're discussing the art of delegation. The third step is to choose capable, honest, and trustworthy people.

When I was a young commercial lender, my boss and I hired a new executive assistant, Brenda. On her first week I assigned Brenda a project that could have taken a week.

Within one day, Brenda not only finished a week's worth of work, she completed it perfectly. Our new assistant proved to be honest, professional, and trustworthy.

My trust level in Brenda soared and I discovered the power of delegation. She significantly lightened my load.

In Exodus 18:21, Jethro told Moses, "But select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain."

Hiring the right people is critical for successful delegation.
