The music artist, Lecrae, stated in an interview on essence.com that he faced significant challenges in his early years finding any recording companies to sign him. The Christian studios told Lecrae that his music was too edgy, while the secular studios said his music was too Christian.
This drove Lecrae to a more unconventional approach of launching his own business called Reach Records. Through that platform Lecrae has been able to promote his music and help other artists launch.
In Isaiah 55:8, God said, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.”
When God calls us to something new, sometimes the only way forward is an unconventional approach. If doors are closing on you, prayerfully consider if God has another way.
