In his book, “Jesus, Help Me Have Peace,” author Jake Huffman tells of the role that integrity plays in finding peace.
Tempted to move his ball during a golf game to get a better shot, he realized his traditional approach – win at all costs – wasn’t what God wanted. He recognized that his score wasn’t real or true. Peace came when he realized he was fooling himself for putting so much value on his score.
The second part of 2 Chronicles 32:31 says, “…God left him to test him and know everything that was in his heart.”
We are called to integrity in all of our dealings, especially at work. And it is sometimes in the smallest of situations when we learn our truest heart – and can find peace.
