Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
While I was doing freelance consulting, securing new clients was critical. I was excited to find a woman who was new to her role in an area where I had done work. I reached out, offering to help her in her new role. To showcase my experience, I planned to send her work I had done previously.
But I caught myself. The work I had done was produced and paid for by another client. I didn’t feel I could share it without violating my relationship with the first customer.
2 Corinthians 1:12 counsels: “…Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, with integrity and godly sincerity.”
In our desire to advance, we can’t let our drive to succeed harm the relationships we have built.
