Kathy and I needed to reach our next destination quickly. A man overseeing the airport’s taxi service interrupted my Uber search to ask if he could get us a taxi.
He quoted me a price slightly higher than Uber. Due to convenience, I agreed. When we arrived at our destination the taxi driver demanded more money than what his boss quoted. We had been deceived.
Later, when we needed a return ride to the airport, I realized that my experience with the dishonest taxi service had tainted my trust in others. I grilled the poor man trying to help us.
Psalm 119:36 says, “Incline my heart to Your testimonies and not to dishonest gain.”
Your dishonesty can have a far-reaching ripple effect on many lives. Honesty is a better practice.
