In 2001, I owned a consulting practice that gradually morphed into writing, teaching, business counseling, and less consulting. God’s blessing on those activities led to the formation of a nonprofit called Integrity Resource Center.
During that change I wanted to assure that we were following God’s vision rather than mine. I fasted, prayed and journaled. Out of that time came a document outlining God’s vision for Integrity Resource Center.
There were many ideas in that document which I had never done before. It was so daunting that I soon realized that the vision was clearly God’s, not mine! Remarkably, God’s plan is steadily being fulfilled.
Proverbs 16:3 teaches, “Commit your works to the Lord and your plans will be established.”
If you desire a business that pleases God seek His plan, not yours.
