In our youth, God often uses providential nudges to push us towards our ultimate calling. Henry’s story reminded me of this insight.
When Henry was young, he received a college scholarship opportunity from H&R Block. Henry went to the scholarship meeting early to decline their generous offer.
Providentially, however, Henry ended up riding the elevator with Henry Block. That elevator ride led to Henry Block personally mentoring young Henry and encouraging him to accept the scholarship.
This relationship led young Henry to become the effective ministry leader he is today.
Isaiah 48:17 says, “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.”
Take seriously those so-called chance meetings. God may be giving you a providential nudge.
