Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
Integrity Moments is a 60 second workday devotional that provides business leaders with helpful insight into what the Bible says about our work and how we can fully integrate our faith into our vocational calling.

Charles Spurgeon was invited by a man to help this man’s church raise money to pay off a debt. This wealthy man also told Spurgeon to feel free to stay in either his country house, his town house, or his seaside home.

Spurgeon wrote him back and said, “Sell one of the places and pay off the debt yourself.”

Sacrificial giving is less frequent during prosperous times.

Paul witnessed the Macedonian church giving sacrificially. In 2 Corinthians 8 he wrote, “In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability.”

If you desire to experience overflowing joy, try giving until it hurts!
