When I played baseball as a kid there were players who had a knack for excelling when we were behind. We called them “clutch” players.

While receiving the Vince Lombardi trophy recently, KC Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, said, “The Chiefs are never underdogs!” Mahomes is known for his ability to rally in the clutch and win games that seem impossible.

After being commanded to quit teaching about Jesus, and even being flogged, the Apostle Peter proved he was a “clutch” player as well.

In Acts 5:42 we read, “Every day in the temple, and in various homes, they continued teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.”

There are times in business when we also need a clutch player in our midst to finish an important job.
