Frequently I receive calls from young people who have new business ideas. The excitement of youthful leaders tends to lend itself to chasing fantasies.
The most successful businesses, however, are the ones who take their new idea, develop a plan and work that plan diligently.
There’s a distinct difference between focused entrepreneurs who have a new idea and creative people who have dreams that will never succeed. There are many entrepreneurs who chase fantasies that are not realistic.
Proverbs 12:11 says, “Those who work their land will have abundant food, but those who chase fantasies have no sense.”
If you’re an idea person, be careful to surround yourself with wise people to test and execute your ideas. Once you pick the right idea, develop a plan and work the plan diligently.
