Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
Some people fight for positions. They want to stand on a pedestal above their peers for various reasons, such as pride, power, feeling insulated, or the illusion of job security.
God wants existing leaders to appoint elders, leaders, shepherds, coaches, and mentors in every city and organization. These people are designated by their peers and senior leaders to guide others in the right direction.
Paul wrote in Titus 1:5, “I left you on the island of Crete so you could complete our work there and appoint elders in each town as I instructed you.”
If we’re to maintain a godly culture and survive growth now and into the next generation we need to raise up and appoint those who have found God’s way and are able to lead others.
