According to the National Center for Education Statistics, over 3 million students will graduate from college this year. As they enter the workplace, many do not yet know that God has a purpose and a plan for their work beyond just making money.
That is unfortunate, because the workplace can be a stern taskmaster. Without a sense of calling, it’s harder to experience the joy and fulfilment that can come when you know there’s a higher purpose to your work.
Jeremiah 29:11 teaches, “For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.”
If you know a college graduate, consider mentoring them toward understanding that God has a plan for them vocationally.
