Over the years I’ve heard people say, “I don’t listen to Christian music, because it all sounds the same, or, I don’t like Christian movies because of their poor quality.” When Christian’s attempt to mimic secular approaches, the result often ends up being cheap imitations.
When God’s in the middle of our projects, however, they will likely be unconventional. God desires your project to come from Him and glorify Him, resulting in excellence. This requires that we listen to God, rather than mimicking others.
Isaiah 55:9 says, “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
When starting a new project, pause and ask yourself, is this a God project or is it my project.
