13,000 people responded to the Faith at Work: An Empirical Study funded by The Lilly Endowment. One question asked was, “Do you agree that skills and habits you have learned from your faith community help you succeed at work?”

58% agree that what they have learned from their church has helped them succeed at work. For evangelicals, that percentage soared to almost 77%.

In Exodus 31, we read, “See, I have chosen Bezalel … and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills.”

The Bible, the church and God’s Spirit has helped many over the years to perform better at work. With that knowledge, employers would be foolish to ask employees to hide their faith at work.
