Kathy and I met a young couple recently who had moved to our area from Oregon. They both work in information technology for different employers located in Oregon.
They desire to start a family and decided that the Midwest was a better location for them. When I asked about their employer’s willingness to allow them to live out-of-state, they said they hope they will be allowed to continue after their companies reopen from Covid.
1 Thessalonians 5 teaches, “Acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work.”
Employers who desire to care for hard workers will likely have to allow more flexibility for employees in the future.
