When I was six years old there lived a family nearby who had multiple kids known as “the terrors” of the neighborhood. Although there was likely a nice child in their family, due to the majority being so mean, my friends and I avoided the entire family.
In business, when we allow the behaviors and attitudes of our people to go unchecked, we can become a company that customers avoid, just like we avoided our neighbors.
1 Corinthians 12:26 teaches, “If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.”
It’s critical that we cast a vision for what we desire the behaviors and attitudes to be in our workplace, then hold others accountable to them. Your reputation depends on it!
