In 1995, Kathy and I struggled to start a new ministry, we learned that our son had autism, we were forced out of a church we loved, and then, Kathy discovered breast cancer.

That year, we not only wanted to quit full-time ministry, we wanted to quit life. But God encouraged us to persevere.

During our darkest moments, God sent hope, like the night before Kathy’s cancer surgery.

During a blizzard, despite losing our church home, over 40 Christians came to our home to pray over Kathy! God was with us.

Psalm 112:4 says, “Light arises in the darkness for the upright; He is gracious and compassionate and righteous.”

If you’re walking through darkness right now, hang on. God will bring hope, compassion and His light into the darkness.
