Some of my most fruitful times have surfaced from vacations. That’s when God often refreshes my vision or gives me creative ideas for the future.
Years ago, while on vacation, God gave me an idea for a book that I would have never attempted to write otherwise. During prayer, I remember thinking, what if I wrote a book about Daniel making him a modern-day business executive.
My last book, The Unconventional Leader, was the result of that time with God on the beach.
Psalm 23 reminds us of our Good Shepherd’s wishes for us, “He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul.”
This summer, consider taking time to allow God to restore your soul and your vision for the future.
