In Luke 3 we read, “And some tax collectors also came to be baptized, and they said to Jesus, ‘Teacher, what shall we do?’ And He said to them, ‘Collect no more than what you have been ordered to.’”
Jesus didn’t tell the tax collectors to quit their job. He told them to work with integrity. Others may condemn our profession and urge us to try something different, but Jesus did not.
