Major General Jack Briggs shared with our Faith Incorporated audience how to make wise decisions during a crisis.
He gave an example of how some soldiers, trapped in a firestorm in Afghanistan, radioed for air cover. In the heat of battle, when they were asked for coordinates, the soldiers mistakenly gave their own coordinates, rather than the enemies.
Fortunately, long before a crisis like this ever happened, Brigg’s team had planned for such occasions. His team used their preprepared checklist and verified the correct coordinates, sparing these soldiers from getting bombed.
Proverbs 22:3 teaches, “The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.”
Part of seeing danger is anticipating what may come and preparing in advance for those inevitable crises.
