George Washington Carver was the most prominent black scientist of the early 20th century. Even though he was born into slavery, Mr. Carver became widely respected for helping farmers develop alternative crops like peanuts and for pioneering crop rotation.

Although many try to contend that science and faith don’t mix well, Carver had a completely different perspective. He once said, Without God to draw aside the curtain, I would be helpless. Only alone can I draw close enough to God to discover His secrets.”

Jesus said in Matthew 6:6, “Pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.”

Mr. Carver’s science was inspired by his personal time with God. How many secrets has God revealed to you recently?
