A recent 60 Minutes program featured an Air Force Colonel called Bravo who was shot down in Iran. Bravo was ejected from his fighter jet only to discover that his parachute was shredded.
Professionals believe that Bravo hit the earth traveling 70 to 100 mph. His injuries included a broken back, arm, and other significant injuries.
Despite his injuries, Bravo climbed a 7,000 foot mountain to communicate with his team. Reflecting on his survival, Bravo sent one simple text to military, “God is good.”
In 1 Thessalonians 5:18, Paul wrote, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Bravo took Paul’s writing to a whole new level. No matter how big your challenges are at work today, remember Bravo’s conclusion, God is good.
