Is it true that sometimes God sends storms not to cause destruction but to clear a path? Kyle McClellan would agree.  From pitching in the major leagues to the minor leagues and back to the major leagues again, Kyle admits he learned the most about God when he experienced setbacks and disappointment.  Join us for this VIP Network Connect as Kyle shares his “though-the-storm” journey and how it relates to the small business community.  He will encourage us to never give up—even in the face of disappointments and setbacks.  Join us for this inspiring Network Connect!

More about Kyle McClellan

Former MLB pitcher and World Series Champion Kyle McClellan was born in Florissant, Missouri and graduated from St. Louis county suburban high school Hazelwood West in 2002.  While there, he was a three-sport athlete, lettering in football, basketball, and baseball.  He also was a two-time All-State selection at both pitcher and first base.

Kyle played for most of his MLB career for the St. Louis Cardinals, but spent time with the Texas Rangers organization before retiring from the game in 2013. Between 2008, his first MLB appearance until 2013, Kyle also played in the minor leagues.

In 2014, after he and his wife went on a life-changing mission trip to Haiti with teammate Adam Wainwright and his wife, Kyle founded Brace for IMPACT46, a non-profit organization that supports quality of life in Haiti and purchases and renovates homes in North St. Louis for families in need.

“As a professional ballplayer, I’ve had the opportunity to meet some truly incredible people who have factored heavily in my success and helped to shape my character, both on and off the field,” Kyle says. “They have had a significant IMPACT on my life.”

Kyle and his wife, Bridget, make their home in Maryland Heights, Missouri. They have one daughter. In his free time, Kyle enjoys hunting and fishing.
