Matt’s dad grew up in a volatile environment where he learned to expect hardships, failures, and disappointments. When he became a father of his own, he taught Matt to expect failure and shortcomings as a way of protecting Matt from disappointment in life.
As a result, Matt claims he often struggled with the fear of success and being too cautious, avoiding risks. For many of us, the lack of success and accomplishment is not related to our potential or efforts, but in the way we view ourselves emotionally and cognitively.
Our journey towards change can be inspired by Paul’s writing in Romans 12:2 “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
Today, be encouraged! Your path to success begins, not by more effort or potential, but by how you view yourself.
