In the past, the business community has grown accustomed to a certain level of educational training provided to high school and college graduates. In my opinion, the future is soon to change dramatically.

During the pandemic, remote learning too often became no learning at all. In many schools, standards were lowered, graduating many students without basic educational skills.

As these underprepared students begin their careers, businesses will need to expect and budget additional training dollars.

Proverbs 22:6 teaches, “Start a youth out on his way; even when he grows old he will not depart from it.”

When hiring and developing young leaders, employers will need to give their young trainees the necessary training to overcome any deficits they experienced from our educational system. Providing them a good start is critical.
