In Luke 3:14, John the Baptist was asked by a soldier how he should respond to John’s message of repentance. John said, “Don’t extort money and don’t accuse people falsely—be content with your pay.”
John didn’t tell him to quit being a soldier. He told him to act in a manner consistent with God’s Word. When possible, stay and shine light into the darkness of your industry.
